The movie’s protagonist, Ben Campbell is played by Jim Sturgess, with Kevin Spacey doing an excellent job as math professor Micky Rosa. ![]() Various reviews of the film and book seem to suggest that its characters and storyline are an amalgamation of real people and various rumours stemming from the MIT Blackjack Team. The fast-paced movie has a significant amount of added drama to appeal to movie-goers, but the general premise is believed to be based on fact. It follows the story of a young MIT student who is enticed by his math professor to join him and several other students as they attempt to swindle Vegas casinos using card counting techniques.
